You’re not just helping plan for the future, you’re the maestro of retirement dreams!As the Benefits and Pension Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating a range of salaried employee and retiree benefit programs. Your responsibilities will include managing the administration of these programs, serving as the primary point of contact for inquiries related to policies, programs, processes, procedures, and facilitating the administration of retiree employee benefit plans. Additionally, you will collaborate with insurers to address and resolve benefit claim issues. This position also involves providing support for pension administration as needed. This is a full-time, permanent position available in either Vancouver or Prince George, with a hybrid work arrangement.The life of the Benefits and Pension Administrator includes:

  • Counsel employees on benefit coverage, administration, and claim concerns.
  • Process complex insurance and/or other claims.
  • Supports the execution of system and administrative processes (interfaces, policy renewals, regulatory filings).
  • Ensure integrity and maintenance of benefit related data in HRIS systems.
  • Compile census data.
  • May be required to conduct training sessions and deliver presentations.
  • Conduct analysis and prepare reports

For this role, come equipped with:

  • Minimum 1-3 years of benefits administration experience
  • Practical knowledge of benefits and pensions legislation and regulations
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (pivots, lookups, etc.), MS PowerPoint and MS Word
  • Proven record of handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Post-secondary degree in business administration human resources or in a relevant discipline desirable

In a perfect world you also, possess experience in pension administration, with preference given to those holding or pursuing CEBS certification.
