We are expanding into engineering education, business schools, and other markets and evolving our product lines to enable more holistic success for students and education programs.We’d like to invite you to be part of our startup-to-scaleup journey.Join our team as a Senior Content & Video Producer, and leverage your creative writing and video production experience in a unique way and setting: producing content for Casper, our admissions test that measures social intelligence and professionalism in higher education applicants.Opportunity & ImpactAs a Senior Content & Video Producer on the Content Production team, you’ll help support our most widely used product, Casper.Casper is a soft skills test used in the admissions process of hundreds of academic programs globally, including teacher’s colleges, engineering, and medical schools. Over 140,000 applicants take the test every year.In this role, you will lead the development of video and text-based scenarios for the Casper test. Each scenario you create will assess the test-taker for one or more aspects of social intelligence and professionalism, including collaboration, communication, empathy, equity, ethics, motivation, problem-solving, professionalism, resilience, and self-awareness.It’s a multi-faceted and hands-on role where you’ll:

  • Have ownership of international video production cycles. Lead the 6-8 month production cycle of Casper content for the UK and Australia, including pre-production planning and ideation, on-set coordination and oversight, and the post-production review process.
  • Write, edit, and proofread content. Apply your creative writing and editing skills to develop and review text-based scenarios and video scripts for the Casper test, using language that works within the constraints of our content blueprints and is sensitive to cultural nuances and diverse test-takers.
  • Engage and manage external partners. Develop and nurture working relationships with video production partners in the UK and Australia, scope and negotiate their contracts, communicate requirements and creative direction, and coordinate casting, location selection, and film dates.
  • Travel and work for on-location filming. Travel to the UK and Australia for up to eight weeks per calendar year to oversee and ensure the quality of the film production and approve last-minute changes that may be needed, such as to the cast or dialogue.
  • Help operate and scale content production. Participate in quarterly and annual planning, and contribute to and occasionally lead initiatives for business growth, like exploring ways to apply AI and other technologies ethically to existing processes and to speed up and reduce the cost of content production.
  • Collaborate with other teams and functions. Work with teams like Stem Resource Development on content tagging and quality control and the Research team on blueprints and guidelines.)

This Senior Content and Video Producer position is a remote, individual contributor role. You’ll report to , Manager of Casper Operations (Content Production).To thrive in the role, you:

  • Are a video producer with expertise in managing and delivering multi-month production projects from pre-production to post-production, coordinating moving parts and internal and external partners.
  • Have worked as a scriptwriter, copywriter, speechwriter, or in a related role on projects that required your creative writing and use of nuanced language.
  • Bring solid editorial and review skills to provide critical feedback and improve the quality of the content.
  • Have a forward-thinking approach to technology and problem-solving, including a curiosity about AI (Artificial Intelligence) and it’s application for content operations.
  • Are experienced working in a remote work setting where you’ve had to rely on asynchronous communication and collaboration tools like Slack, Confluence or Notion.
  • Have some experience improving operational processes, such as implementing software that streamlines a workflow or automates a manual process.
  • Like using data and insights to manage, track and measure your work, and to form opinions and make decisions.
  • Resilient through change and high-pressure conditions, including working with tight deadlines and responding to unexpected challenges and last-minute hiccups.
