Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage architectural projects from concept through completion, ensuring all phases are executed effectively and efficiently.
  • Design Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop and refine project designs, ensuring they meet client requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare and oversee the creation of detailed construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Team Management: Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work and professional growth.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality control reviews of design and construction documents to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with codes and regulations.
  • Client Interaction: Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve technical and design challenges that arise during project development and construction.
  • Budget and Schedule Management: Monitor project budgets and schedules, ensuring projects remain within agreed-upon parameters and reporting any deviations.
  • Site Visits: Perform site visits to monitor construction progress, address any issues, and ensure alignment with design intent.
  • Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with local, provincial, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and best practices.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in architectural project management.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other relevant software applications.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, building codes, and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work hybrid (3 days home) with potential for remote work for the right candidate.
  • Preferably able to come to the office in Ottawa or Hamilton.
