Role Overview:Thirteen Group is on the lookout for two Employability Caseworkers to join our Employability team on a fixed term basis until March 2025.Our fantastic employability service supports people who are not in employment, education or training, as well as anyone looking to change career or find a new job.You’ll support a caseload of participants to help build resilience, overcome barriers to economic inclusion and move towards sustainable employment and financial wellbeing. Key Responsibilities:
- Expertly and proactively support participants into employment. You’ll be the point of contact throughout this process, including help with CVs and job applications, assisting with job searches and developing their interview skills.
- Provide a high-quality service with the overall aim of providing positive outcomes and celebrating success.
- Liaise with the wider Employability team to identity and provide volunteering and training opportunities.
- Generate referrals into the service.
- Address barriers using an imaginative and flexible approach to participant engagement. You’ll use a range of methods, including 1:1 and group work to support the diverse needs of participants.
- Our core operation is across the Tees Valley, but we operate across an area that stretches from the Humber in the South to the Tyne in the North. You may be expected to travel occasionally, in line with business need.
About You:
- Experience of supporting people into employment, education and training.
- Able to effectively manage a caseload of customers.
- Excellent communication skills to positively coach and develop others, including people who are new to the world of work.
- Ideally, you’ll understand the national, regional and local context relating to economic inclusion and an awareness of how this may affect participants and the communities we serve.
- Above all you’ll have brilliant customer-focused skills and passion for delivering positives outcomes to allow people to prosper and fulfil their potential!
