OLG is now expanding our horizons even further, with a new strategic direction, to become a world class gaming entertainment leader with a globally admired digital platform.We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Director, Digital Release Train & UAT to lead the team of Release Train Engineers and Deployable User Acceptance Testing who enable and support the digital labs. In addition, the Director will act as a servant leader who is accountable for the release trains across the Digital Platform for deployment, collaborating with the Service Providers, Labs and other OLG stakeholders (e.g., Lottery, Technology) to ensure smooth scheduling and deployment of product features across the various product domains on the Digital Platform. The Director, Digital Release Train & UAT will be accountable for the User Acceptance Testing Strategy and partner with the Digital Solution Testing Team while managing the resourcing and support for UAT resources within the digital labs..YOUR ROLE IN THE GAMEReporting to the Sr Director, Digital Delivery & Release Train, you will be empowered to:Understand the digital BU strategic direction and roadmap in sufficient detail to enable effective digital program/release management and administration providing key details for Business Value Assessments and Post Implementation Reviews including vendor development and delivery schedules and costs (both estimates and actuals)Develop, maintain and manage the overarching digital integrated release (train) plan, with consideration to optimal delivery scenarios as inputs into annual and quarterly planning including Portfolio Increments (PIs)Support product owners in delivering the initiatives on the release train and employ tactics drive ongoing synchronization of the release scope to match the priorities of the digital labs with all vendors in the digital ecosystemOrchestrate the sequencing of initiatives across the entire portfolio of work for delivery in alignment with the identified priorities while managing dependencies and constraints to ensure a continuous delivery pipeline.Perform analysis to identify emerging trends; engaging with digital labs, enablers and service providers/partners to remove barriers to delivery and align on tactics to mitigate risks and address issuesTrack and report, to OLG and digital leadership, progress on the release trains including risks, issues, mitigations and recommendationsAdminister the processes and resources to ensure delivery of roadmap priorities through labs is achievedCollaborate across the Enterprise supporting initiatives from Lottery, Enterprise IT and supporting Divisions and lead the resolution of issues with other departments/divisions/third parties in a manner that best supports and balances conflicting priorities and/or constrained resources to achieve the digital release trainDevelop, maintain and enhance the release management framework, including all requisite artifacts and processes, to enable accelerated value delivery across the digital labs and with service providersEstablish and maintain a User Acceptance Testing Strategy, implemented by the UAT Leads, with ongoing refinement to optimize for agile risk based testingProvide implementation subject matter expertise for contract development and changes, to ensure business outcomes are achieved by reviewing all Change Orders related to primary vendors and providing key inputs to ensureLead a team of Release Train Engineers, UAT Leads and Sr. Business Analysts in their day-to-day operationsSupport the professional growth of the team through building strong relationships as a mentor, and monitoring talent, competency and skill development to ensure attainment of individual career goals and department objectivesCreate an environment of collaborative teamwork built on collective accountability, constructive dialogue and receptiveness to diverse perspectivesCross Functional Relationships:Engage with vendors and partners to develop and manage the overarching digital release (train) including a role within vendor governance committees and leading the operational engagement with vendor delivery leads on a day to day basisWork with digital labs, enabling teams within Digital, Lottery and Enterprise IT to develop and maintain the overarching integrated digital release (train) schedule (across labs)Lead the day-to-day management of the digital release (train) schedule, ensuring optimal usage of shared resources (vendor development teams and internal UAT resources)Build relationships and effectively collaborate with OLG stakeholders, vendors and partners to ensure delivery of commitments and drive results in alignment with the Game ON StrategyBuild strong partnership relationships with internal and external stakeholders including Service Providers, senior leadership, the regulator, vendors and internal functional teamsWHAT YOU NEED TO PLAYWork Experience: At least 10 years of delivery experience, with evidence of increasing collaborations with senior leadership and complexity and supporting large-scale vendor contracts (implementation and operations)Education: • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems, engineering or business management. • Master’s degree in management or systems is preferredCritical Skills: • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
