The job roleAs a Service Charge Accountant you will contribute to our vision of being the leading residential property manager by:

  • Managing the accounting function for a portfolio of properties
  • Delivering accurate financial statements and records to our customers
  • Providing an analytical review of expendature for your properties on an annual basis
  • Producing an annual set of accounts
  • Responding to queries from auditors, customers and colleagues.

This role reports to the Service Charge Accounting Team LeaderAbout YouYou are currently working within a customer service or administrative role, and have an intererst in developing a career within accountancy.You will have excellent administration skills, gained within an office enviroment. You will be very organised and able to prioritise your workload effectively.You have a good head for figures, and working with numbers comes naturally to you. You will have great IT skills, and be comfortable with learning new systems. You will have excellent skills in MS Excel, and are confident manipulating data in spreadsheets.You are a confident and articulate communicator; able to convey information clearly and accurately in writing and verbally, and are able to build effective working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and customers.You are customer focused and thrive in working collaboratively and in a fast paced environment.Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver year end accounts to residents in a timely fashion
  • Carry out the necessary transactions to ensure a smooth accounting process for accounts
  • Resolve issues on accounts and ensure a quality service is provided to customers/ clients
  • Deliver to department productivity metrics and contribute to the team and organisational goals
  • Liaise effectively with auditors to deliver a smooth audit process and provide the best possible outcome for our customers and our clients
  • Adopt a proactive approach at all times to audit and accounts, liaising with analysts/ managers on areas of concern
  • Take full responsibility of your own development and contribute positively and effectively to the team through creative ideas, tested processes or feedback from colleagues/ external parties.
