You will report to the fostering Head of Service. This is a hybrid role where you will:

  • complete the majority of annual review meetings for foster carers in their homes, on occasion as case by case, some reviews can be done virtually
  • report writing

  • Educated to degree level with appropriate professional Social Work qualification
  • Have an active Social Work England registration and proven evidence of CPD
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of Children Act 1989 and 2004, Fostering Regulations and National Minimum Standards, care planning legislation, reviewing officer regulations; including awareness of current national policy, evidence based research and best practice that affects children’s social care
  • Previous experience in working in a fostering team setting and working with children social care
  • Previous experience supervising foster carers; completing annual reviews, standards of cares and safeguarding monitoring
  • Demonstrated experience in assessment writing including form F, Form C
