- Set-up Operator for Plastics Company
Location:
- Scandia
Pay:
- $20-$22+ Depending on Experience
Shifts:
- Days – 7AM-3:30PM
- Monday-Friday
- Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspection of molds
- Lifting 50 to 80 lbs.
- Disassembly/assembly of tools (molds) in a safe and effective manner and cleaning of mold components.
- Measurements of critical dimension to .001.
- Exhibit excellent safety awareness and follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Team player capable of effectively communicating technical terms.
- Exhibit excellent attendance and work ethics.
- Must be able to work with power and hand tools.
- Follow production and scrap efficiency guidelines.
- Ensure tools are stored in an organized and safe manner.
- Job setup and startup of Thermoforming machines, ensure product quality of production run, signs off on production run after quality department check and clearance of run.
- Keep an active log into our digitized job tracking system.
- Ensure that all jobs are running to the estimated run rate and index length.
- Continuously evaluate the machines process to ensure they are setup and running correctly for optimum performance and damage control.
- Work on continuous improvements to setup techniques and processes that could reduce time and cost.
- To be knowledgeable about companies’ policies and procedures to ensure compliance as appropriate.

- Responsible for manufacturing precision components to our customer’s quality specifications and delivery requirements while achieving Company goals.

- Lean Manufacturing experience
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to comprehend the consequences of various situations and refer such problems to the appropriate individual for decision-making.
