For informal enquiries, please contact Andreas Kyprianou (Director of CAMaCS) at [email protected].We are looking for a talented and versatile mathematician and computer scientist to work as part of a team of interdisciplinary researchers at the new Centre for Applications of Mathematical and Computing Sciences (https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/sci/camacs) (CAMaCS) at Warwick.This is a new type of postdoctoral role, called an “Innovation Research Associate”, with focus on technical breadth. As part of the role, you will be expected to work within interdisciplinary academic teams to:

  • Work across different long-term and occasional short-term projects with
  • diverse partnerships;
  • Interface between academics in the Departments of Mathematics, Statistics
  • and Computer Science and other partners in academia, business,
  • government and industry;
  • Learn about and implement new modelling techniques for interdisciplinary projects;
  • Cultivate your own academic identity with a broad base of expertise;
  • Demonstrate thereby leadership through the development of novel data-
  • centric modelling within other disciplines;

Engage in collaborative grant capture and impact acceleration.We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so.About YouYou will hold a PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline.   • Machine learning and/or other quantitative modelling in AI
  • Statistical modelling
  • Interdisciplinary mathematical modelling
