The company is distinguished by its extensive product and service offerings, broad distribution capabilities, exceptional financial strength, underwriting excellence, superior claims handling expertise and local operations globally.KEY OBJECTIVE:Chubb Field Operations is seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM) who will be focused on growing the Chubb Access portfolio of brokers for the Ontario Region of Canada. The BDM will take on a “One Chubb” approach to promoting all Chubb products across the tier, inclusive of Commercial and Personal offerings. The BDM will be responsible for maximizing financial results while managing broker relationships as a primary Chubb contact.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Achieve production goals for the Access book of business and support branch goals.
  • Develop and maintain trusted broker relationships.
  • Build a robust, quality pipeline of new client opportunities and pro-actively move prospects through the process of quoting, positioning, and closing deals.
  • Prospecting and vetting new broker relationships to Chubb.
  • Analyze results to monitor broker specific and branch trends as part of book management.
  • Implement strategies to achieve business goals.
  • Responsible for quote follow up and quote optimization with brokers.
  • Effectively manage relationships across the brokerage to drive engagement with all stakeholders.
  • Communicate product and service enhancements.
  • Address and respond to broker inquiries specific to service, underwriting, commissions, claims, broker coding and the like. Engage appropriate resources as required.
  • Deliver and support strategic initiatives and marketing campaigns including attendance at associated events.
  • Participate in internal meetings and report on results as appropriate.
  • Alignment with national Access distribution and local field management.

Qualifications:

  • University Degree and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Completion or pursuit of CIP is an asset.
  • 5-7 years of insurance sales or marketing experience is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven track record of sustained high sales performance and achievement with an ability to drive results and innovate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Agile learner who can quickly absorb information and apply it to current business situations.
  • Proven ability to identify and react to problems and opportunities, produce alternatives and implement viable solutions.
  • Assertive, sales oriented and results driven.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and expand on internal and external relationships.
  • Experience selling to commercial and high net worth clients is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Chubb’s insurance strategies, appetite and products is an asset.
