Amazon Shopping Videos is one of the newest and fastest growing strategic programs at Amazon. We are responsible for introducing a new experience on Amazon where customers can find product inspiration through video, learn more about products they are interested in, and interact with great creators and their communities. We’re looking for a Principal Technical Program Manager who thrives in an ambiguous environment to deliver results with a customer obsessed mindset. We own the vision of Amazon Live – a livestreaming solution that engages both our creators and our retail customers. This role intersects engineering, product, marketing, senior leadership (up to VP level), and internal stakeholders. You are the glue to the org to get the right things done for our customers while achieving our org’s business objectives.What you’ll learn?
You already know how to deliver technically complex, cross-org programs. You’ll learn to influence and shape the org wide vision to define *Live* experiences for content creators and retail customers to drive FOMO (ephemeral events), engagement through personalizing content and CX strategies, and global expansion of our program. You will gain E2E domain and technical expertise in the “shoppertainment” industry as you accelerate our flywheel to alter our customers’ shopping behavior.About the team
Amazon Live is a fast-paced, startup-like org. We strive to learn through experimentation and pivot quickly. We own solving the rising shoppertainment industry and get to build from 0 to 1. We explore new ways to drive new shopping behaviors livestreaming. GenAI, LLMs, AR, and upcoming trends will influence how livestreams and videos are created and distributed to inform and engage our customers to discover, research, and assess products in their shopping consideration journeys.We’re hiring in these 3 locations: Seattle, New York, and Toronto, with expectations to work in office 3-days/week.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS– 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
– 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
– 5+ years of software development experience
– Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
– Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
– Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definitionPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS– 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
