**Please note we are unable to offer visa sponsorship and require to people to be based in the UK or Ireland for this position**Great benefits:💰 £40,000🤸 Flexible work – choose a working setup that works for you, our only ask is to see you 1-2 times a month in the office and you must be based in the UK or Ireland.✈️ 25 days holiday plus your local bank holidays🎂 Your birthday off❤️ Two half day wellbeing days🩺 Healthcare cash plan to cover the costs of day to day healthcare🧠 Employee Assistance Plan 24/7 365 support🤒 Income Protection (75%) and life assurance (4x salary)🤑 Pension scheme💳 £50 monthly allowance to spend on whatever takes your fancy, your very own Benefex card will be topped up at the start of each month!Role Overview 🚀Benefex continues to grow quickly both organically and via acquisition, as we grow the finance function our centralised Accounts Receivable team requires a Billing Specialist to ensure that our customers receive accurate and timely invoicing.The Billing Specialist role reports to the Finance Manager and will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all customer billing across various business segments.To be successful the role holder will interact on a regular basis with a variety of parties including the customer account directors and consultants, the wider finance team and customers directly to ensure an exceptional customer payment experience.Responsibilities 🤘
- Ownership of customer contact details set up and maintenance on the system to ensure accurate delivery of invoicing and correspondence
- Collaborating with the business and credit control to ensure billing accuracy in line with contractual arrangements to reduce subsequent queries and amendments that may delay collection
- Authoring reports to measure success of the AR team and contributing to Board level reporting
- Perform write offs, invoice amendments, credit notes where applicable
- Seeking improvements to processes and leveraging technology (inc AI) to automate
- Take ownership of internal and external queries effectively and efficiently
What are we looking for? 🔎
- Demonstrable General Accounts Receivable/Invoicing experience
- Experience in multicurrency invoices and non-UK VAT knowledge
- Knowledge of AR/Accounting software (NetSuite is desirable)
- Experience in stakeholder management (internal and external)
- Commercial awareness & communication skills – enabling meaningful interactions, navigating sensitive situations, resolving conflicts, and fostering connections both internally and externally across various stakeholder groups.
- Ability to prioritise, multi-task and work to tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Excel (including lookups and pivot tables).
- Professional with a positive outlook and “can do” attitude
- Used to working with minimal supervision in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a high growth environment and in a rapidly changing organisation.
