Job introductionAbout the roleAn exciting, challenging and rewarding opportunity has arisen to join the Inclusion and Alternative Provision team within the Education Division of East Sussex as an Extended Support Practitioner due to the promotion of the current post holder.The successful applicant will join the Extended Support team to work with children, educational settings and families to support improved outcomes for children and young people with additional needs. The role will involve developing and delivering appropriate programmes for children, working with families to ensure that they are involved in the planning of interventions at the earliest stage and assist schools in following relevant statutory regulations and legislation on reintegration. The role will be to support and assist children who have been permanently excluded and/or are at risk of permanent exclusion. It will also involve developing and delivering programmes of support for schools and children at risk of permanent exclusion.The support you provide will be instrumental in our ability to deliver our vision of relentlessly pursuing positive outcomes for children and young people and enabling them to thrive.You will work closely with the Team Leader: Extended Support and the team of Extended Support Practitioners to ensure that each child and their family receives the support they require in a timely manner. You will be a key and integral part of a hardworking and highly effective team within the Education Division.The post is full time and can be based at St Mary’s House, Eastbourne, County Hall, Lewes or Cavendish House, HastingsWhat can we offer you?
