The successful candidate must be a team player who can quickly ramp up on new technologies and accomplish goals in a fast-paced, Agile environment. You must have a combination of strong technical and communication abilities.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and maintain 3rd party and internal tools used for website administration
- Support the Madcap DITA CCMS Infrastructure Tools & Servers
- Collaborate with IT Team to address CCMS server-related issues.
- Resolve content-related defects in Web and PDF outputs, coordinating with vendor support if required
- Implement administrative changes to align tools with WR security requirements
- Support the Writing Team’s use of CCMS
- Post non-dita sources for the engineering team to the website as part of the DevOps cycle, and maintain tools to do so
- Partner with the style committee to implement guidelines for web and CCMS infrastructure.
ABOUT YOUCore Competencies, Demonstrated Success, and Interests
- XML, XLST, HTML5, CSS, and DITA-OT
- The Madcap Ixiasoft CCMS
- JavaScript, Python, and Bash Shell Scripting
- Linux and Windows Server administration
- Sphinx reStructured Text (RST) system deployment
- Git SCM use with a Doc as Code publishing framework
- Jenkins and other DevOps tools
- REST APIs
- Leveraging Generative AI and LLM in Information Development
QUALIFICATIONSThe ideal candidate should have 2+ years of related experience in the following areas:
- Experience as a Technical Publications Infrastructure Engineer supporting a DITA writing team
- Experience with maintaining website infrastructure and servers
- Experience working with remote colleagues (for example, in Europe and Asia) and flexibility in working hours to accommodate occasional meetings with colleagues in those time zones
- You must have an active problem-solving nature, be comfortable working independently and asking questions to gain hands-on experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working in an Enterprise Agile environment will be an advantage
