Senior Reconciliation Analyst, Operational Finance- 6 month FTC- ASAP StartWorking at our iconic office in Morely, Leeds, and virtually via Microsoft Teams.Your new role at NewDayNewDay is seeking a skilled and experienced Analyst to join our Finance/Insurance team in Leeds As a Senior Analyst, Reconciliation, you will play a key role in ensuring the flawless execution of our financial reconciliation processes.   • Perform daily reconciliation of financial data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Create and update comprehensive documentation of reconciliation processes and procedures.
  • Actively seek out areas for improvement and take the lead in implementing changes to enhance processes.
  • Provide support to the finance team at all times including during internal and external audits.
  • Keep informed about the latest industry standards and regulations pertaining to financial reconciliation.
  • Act as deputy to the Reconciliation Manager and provide cover where required.

What you’ll bringWe need knowledge, experience + expertise in:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in financial reconciliation, ideally within the Finance/Insurance industry.
  • Accounting environments, with a basic understanding of accounting principles.
  • Relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Understanding, analysing, and presenting large volumes of numerical data.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ambitious and self-motivated, with a track record of successfully meeting deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, able to determine root causes and implement solutions.

And would love you to know or learn:

  • How to build and maintain excellent working relationships with a wide group in the business, building a level of mutual trust and respect.
  • To take accountability for actions and remains responsible for assigned GL reconciliations.
  • How to use role specific programmes and systems.
