Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is looking for an Experienced Real Time Software Test Engineer to join the B-52J CERP Test Team located in Oklahoma City, OK.  This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

The successful candidate will Designs, develops, and completes test and verification of software products to ensure quality, reliability, and functionality.

Designs test plans, cases, and scenarios to meet software requirements and specifications. Sets up and configures test environments, including hardware, software, and network configurations to replicate production environments.

The B-53J CERP program is assembling a team to test requirements.  This involves determining the requirements, writing the tests and executing the tests.

Partners with stakeholders to review and identify software requirements, test objectives, test strategies, and testability. Executes test cases and scenarios to verify functionality, performance, and safety of software systems, identifying and reporting defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities found during testing processes. Provides test results and feedback on software design and functionality to resolve defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities. Creates, documents, and maintains test plans, procedures, cases, artifacts, metrics, and data in accordance with data privacy and security protocols and standards. Develops and maintains automated test scripts and frameworks to improve efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes. Performs software project management functions across test and verification activities involving multifunctional teams.  Writing requirements for tests, based on SRS’s. While SDD is being written start writing unit test requirements. As code is finished write the Test Cases/ (COT tool will automate the TP) and conduct testing.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops, and completes test and verification of software products to ensure quality, reliability, and functionality

  • Partners with stakeholders to review and identify software requirements, test objectives, test strategies, and testability

  • Designs test plans, cases, and scenarios to meet software requirements and specifications

  • Sets up and configures test environments, including hardware, software, and network configurations to replicate production environments

  • Executes test cases and scenarios to verify functionality, performance, and safety of software systems, identifying and reporting defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities found during testing processes

  • Provides test results and feedback on software design and functionality to resolve defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities

  • Creates, documents, and maintains test plans, procedures, cases, artifacts, metrics, and data in accordance with data privacy and security protocols and standards

  • Develops and maintains automated test scripts and frameworks to improve efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes

  • Performs software project management functions across test and verification activities involving multifunctional teams

  • Supports software verification and automated test script development on agile teams which are tasked with integrating/implementing solutions onto a platform

  • Develops high fidelity tool sets to enable rapid test and deployment of high-quality software solutions for the war-fighter

  • Uses analytical problem-solving skills to resolve problems for the company and suppliers

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post-Start).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 3 plus years’ experience with developing Software Test Requirements STR; Software Test Description STD, and Software User Manual SUM

  • 3 plus years’ experience with any of the following software development languages: Ada, C, C++, C#, Java, Perl, or Python

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Ability to develop/use Manual and Automated Test procedures.

  • Perform analysis on test results

  • Oversees activities in DOORS

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Travel:

Occasional travel may be required but would be less than 10%.

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.  Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.

Summary pay range for Associate: $96,900.00 – $131,100.00
