DESCRIPTIONAre you an Information Technology (IT) Risk Manager looking for a step-up role with within Amazon’s unique IT environment? We are looking for an experienced IT Risk Manager within the First Line of Defence (1LoD) to support the Global Technology Officer (GTO). Reporting to the Senior Manager, 1st Line Risk, the IT Risk Manager will lead on the development of a 1st Line IT Risk program. The ideal candidate must have IT risk management experience, preferably, within the payments or financial services sector.While the role is designed as a Remote Working Location, we are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following countries: Ireland, Luxembourg, United Kingdom.Key job responsibilities
Key job responsibilities for this role include:
– Support the Global Technology Officer (GTO) to attest compliance with the Global IT Risk Management Framework and legal entity regulatory requirements.
– Accountable for the coordination and completion of the annual IT Risk and Control Self-assessments (IT RCSA) for each legal entity.
– Maintain an asset inventory of critical IT systems and downstream dependencies for all regulated entities.
– Maintain strong working relationships with key IT stakeholders to gain an understanding of the current and proposed future states of each Regulated Entity IT architecture to ensure an agile approach to IT risk management is adopted.
– Ensure appropriate mechanisms are in place to monitor and report on IT service level arrangements (SLA) for outsourced intra group and external facing third parties.
– Accountable for scheduling and testing of critical applications to ensure recovery objectives set by the regulated entities are meet.
– Support the GTO to implement control mechanisms to ensure operational resilience of critical digital assets.
– Perform risk based deep dives to identify and understand IT risk drivers and to validate root causes of IT related loss events.
– Maintain a risk record of IT Incidents, along with actions, to ensure incidents tracked to ensure closure in a timely manner.
– Coordinate IT risk reporting (including key risk indicators) to legal entity boards and senior management committees.
– Establish and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders within Compliance, Global IT teams and Risk Management.
– Keep abreast of the dynamic and evolving risk and regulatory landscape.

The IT Risk Manger will be responsible for assisting the GTO implement an effective control environment to manage IT risk exposures. You will be expected drive IT risk assessments, escalation, and mitigation strategies for risk within our regulated payments entities. The role is vital to ensure IT risks are effectively managed within the risk appetite thresholds set by the legal entity boards. In addition, ensure ongoing compliance with local and global regulatory requirements.About the team

– Experience in compliance, audit or risk management
– Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders across the organization to act without having a direct reporting relationship
– A minimum of 10 years’ experience in technology risk, technology audit or related field, within a financial institution, licensed money transmitter, or payments related e-commerce function.
– A good understanding of IT risk and control frameworks, such as, COBIT, NIST, ISO 27001 or equivalent.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS– Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
– Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent
– Master’s degree or equivalent
