Description We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team in the Waste, Refuse & Environmental Waste Management industry located in Rochester, New York, 14624, United States. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for addressing customer concerns and needs regarding our products or services. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries effectively and accurately, providing potential solutions and ensuring customer satisfaction.

• Utilize job-specific software, databases, scripts, and tools appropriately to handle various customer topics.

• Engage in active listening with customers, confirming or clarifying information and deescalating escalated situations when necessary.

• Build strong relationships with customers and other team members based on trust and reliability.

• Understand and strive to meet or exceed the set metrics while providing excellent and consistent customer service.

• Assess customer needs and make sales recommendations for products or services that may better suit the identified customer needs.

• Participate in training and learning opportunities to expand your knowledge of the company, products, sales, and services.

• Answer or make calls to customers to learn about and address their needs, concerns, or other issues with our products or services. Requirements • Candidate must have a minimum of one year experience in a customer service role

• Proficient in using computer systems and software

• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complaints professionally

• Knowledge of waste management industry is a plus but not required

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks

• Must have high attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Must have a customer-focused attitude and a commitment to providing exceptional service

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
