This key leadership role will identify new business opportunities and then partner with our R&D colleagues to formulate and deliver design and manufacturing service projects.This individual will leverage their technical expertise and industry knowledge to develop and implement strategies that align with business growth objectives. Additionally, this role will lead a strategic effort to grow profitable sales in the IVD market through the process of assessment, intelligence gathering, generating sales leads, and following the sales pipeline process. They will develop solid relationships between assigned and new accounts and Phillips Medisize’s leadership and working teams.This is a remote role that will be based in Europe or the UK and will operate on a global scale traveling throughout the Europe and Internationally to work with internal and external customers.Our TeamPhillips Medisize, a Molex Company is an end-to-end provider of design, development, and manufacturing solutions to the pharmaceutical, diagnostics and medical device industries.   • Identify and assess new business opportunities within the global IVD and Life sciences market segments
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, including potential clients, partners, and regulatory bodies
  • Drive business development activities, selling end-to-end design & development services, including validation, clinical builds, tooling, clean room molding, contract manufacturing of finished IVD devices, and associated consumable products in the IVD and Life Sciences market segments
  • Collaborate with strategic marketing colleagues to identify market, customer, and technology trends, unmet market needs and product opportunities in the IVD and Life Sciences market segments where Phillips Medisize capabilities can create value for our customers
  • Develop a commercial pipeline and follow the sales funnel process from prospect to sustaining customer to increase development and production sales
  • Responsible for customer RFQ’s, participating in the development of new project proposals, and negotiating master supply, quality, and manufacturing agreements
  • Provide technical input and innovation-driven guidance during proposal development, contract negotiations, and partnership discussions
  • Develop a sales strategy and then negotiate the development and recurring costs with customers to win new business
  • Communicate the business strategy to management, project teams, and customers in a clear and compelling way that creates alignment and drives execution
  • Build strong relationships with customers at all levels, including C-suite, to grow collaboration, and engagements
  • Foster partnerships between customers and the internal product development, manufacturing, and management teams
  • Collaborate with internal R&D and marketing stakeholders to perform needs/gaps analysis of technical capabilities versus market and customer needs and contribute to investment proposals to close gaps
  • Develop positive working relationships with all internal disciplines, teams, and management

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Extensive sales management and business development experience in the in vitro diagnostic, medical device, or life sciences industries.
  • Experience developing new customers and relationships in a target market segment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in technical engineering or life sciences discipline.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Masters or PhD degree in a Life Sciences, Medical or Engineering discipline
  • Experience with product development, contract manufacturing and associated processes
  • Experience working in the IVD industry
