Description We are looking for a JIB Accounting Manager in Denver, Colorado. This role involves overseeing our JIB accounting team and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the JIB accounting team, ensuring smooth daily operations.

• Review and approve Joint Interest Billing statements and invoices, ensuring they meet all industry standards and regulations.

• Collaborate with internal departments to gather necessary data for accurate JIB calculations.

• Analyze variances and discrepancies in JIB accounting entries, and resolve issues in a timely manner.

• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to JIB activities.

• Monitor cash flow related to Joint Interest Billing and propose improvements when needed.

• Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance JIB accounting processes.

• Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and industry practices related to JIB.

• Train and mentor entry level staff members in JIB accounting principles and best practices.

• Use Accounting Software Systems, ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Auditing, Billing Functions, Joint Interest Billing, Oracle, and Oil & Gas – Revenue Reporting to perform tasks efficiently. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Knowledge of ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning systems

• Ability to manage various Accounting Functions

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Auditing procedures

• Understanding of Billing Functions

• Proficiency in Joint Interest Billing (JIB) procedures

• Experience in using Oracle software

• Familiarity with Oil & Gas – Revenue Reporting

• Ability to lead and manage a team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

• detail oriented certification such as CPA is preferred

• Prior experience in a managerial role is advantageous.
