We are passionate about rewarding excellence and helping people to grow, both personally and professionally, during their time with us.If you are looking for opportunities within a progressive, innovative, and nurturing organisation; and have the energy, passion, and commitment to deliver excellence, we would love to hear from you.We currently have an exciting opportunity to join us as an IT Technical Support Specialist within our IT Team.In a nutshell you will be responsible for:Supporting all aspects of IT infrastructure, from user helpdesk to network operations, including troubleshooting, implementing new systems, and ensuring user satisfaction.What you are already great at:Support

  • Helpdesk management including Triage, delegation & escalation to the correct IT Team/Member.
  • Supports all IT Infrastructure/Network & operations across the EMEAA businesses.
  • Asset Management Including building of IT Equipment in line with requirements/standards.
  • Documents all work according to standards and keeps existing documentation current.
  • Participates in any infrastructure and applications’ requirements and design sessions as/when required.
  • Installing and maintaining hardware, operating systems, and software programs
  • Troubleshooting and solving hardware, software, and connectivity issues
  • Educating end-users about new systems

Testing & Implementation

  • Develops solutions to error conditions and implements appropriate corrective procedures. Retests program after errors have been corrected to ensure integrity of the program interfaces, and application flows.
  • Participates in the development of implementation plans for infrastructure and application systems.
  • Assists with the planning & rollout of new software including training end users.
  • Effectively demonstrates and explains infrastructure and system changes or enhancements to customers to broaden and confirm their understanding of an application’s features and functions.
  • Ensures proper production migrations and turnover of system components.

Planning & Administration

  • Leads & Develops assigned Projects ensuring clear objectives & timelines
  • Provides and fosters superior customer satisfaction Internal & External.
  • Performs job responsibilities according to the Fortune Brands operating philosophy.
  • Ensures all duties of this position are carried out according to safe work practices, consistent with corporate and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Performs all other related duties and special projects as requested.
  • Consistently meets assignment target completion dates.
  • Performs analysis to define overall scope and objectives of specific tasks.
  • Consistently is punctual for all meetings.
  • Readily acquires, understands, and applies basic business concepts as they relate to specific project assignments.

For this role we would need you to demonstrate:

  • Certified In Microsoft Server (installation/Active Directory/Remote Administration/Configuration/Security)
  • Foundation Level knowledge of Network Switching
  • Fortinet Qualification
  • Windows Operating Systems (Windows 10/11)
  • Microsoft Office 365 Suite including MS Teams
  • Strong Knowledge of VLAN’s, Fire walls, Fortinet, V-center, Backup solutions, Phone systems, Print Server, Anti-virus,
  • Excellent teamwork, as IT systems involve many different professionals with different skill sets and levels of expertise.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to come up with creative solutions.
  • Excellent listening skills to establish the issues that users are facing.
  • The ability to multitask, as they may be working on multiple problems simultaneously.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and remain calm when things go wrong.
  • Two- or four-year college degree and five years of experience with emphasis on computer science or business data processing.
