Suntory Global Spirits is a place where you can come Unleash your Spirit by making an impact each and every day.What makes this a great opportunity?The Marketing procurement team is part of the Global Procurement function and is responsible for all sourcing requirements of Marketing required by SGS UK as well as acting as the local lead regarding compliance to the Global Procurement Policy and other relative aspects of Procurement Operations (i.e. sustainability, D&I, etc.)The job holder has responsibility for ensuring efficient sourcing on a range of goods and services which includes, but is not limited to, Advertising, Creative, Design, Strategic, Media, PR, Digital and Experiential, as well as POS and VAPS ensuring that Procurement ways of working and formal policies are in place locally, aligning with those at Global level.In addition to these strategic category management functions, the Marketing Procurement Manager, also develops, evolves, and administers broad strategies and best-practice processes, tools, and analytics, as well as develops and implements internal training programs to assure optimal management of agencies (content and sessions).There is a need of acting as a company ambassador, working to build key relationships between the suppliers and SGS, as well as aligning wow within all the International sub regions and Globally, being completely aligned with the overall corporate strategy and diverse functional strategiesRole Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage sourcing strategies, aligned to broader Category Strategies, for the goods and services required within the BU. Align sourcing strategy with Managers and key internal customers and peers. This will involve a close working relationship with internal customers and a detailed understanding of their business needs and Procurement requirements.
  • Proactively carry out the appropriate sourcing arrangements with existing and new suppliers to deliver the goods and services in most cost-efficient manner to BSI. Delivering cost savings and avoidance is an essential feature of this role.
  • Lead the Procurement Function in the UK in terms of information and/or negotiation for local, International or global Marketing tender exercises when required.
  • Seek wherever possible to consolidate and leverage purchases across BSI.
  • Work in synergy with other Suntory company members.
  • Alignment to Global Procurement Operations processes and procedures including but not limited to: SRM, sustainability, business continuity and risk management.
  • Solution: Compliance, purchase spend, supplier payments, Project S2P (Tracking of orders, invoices and payments). Improve P2P efficiency.
  • Administrative functions: Vendors Master Data – SAP PO´s
  • Actively work in those projects where procurement involvement is required as per Procurement Policy. Carry out sourcing requirements for these projects to meet required timescales, maximising savings and ensuring continuity of supply.
  • Negotiate and implement agreements with suppliers to ensure all contractual terms are clearly documented and signed off, and contractual risk to Beam is minimised.
  • Develop and maintain a working understanding of the cost structures of goods and services, ensuring that market analysis is done and an awareness of the marketplace and trends in input costs can be demonstrated
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the processes that the goods and services are used in
  • Look for new initiatives and continuous improvements with either existing or new suppliers
  • Lead review meetings with key suppliers
  • Provide assistance to Finance function on invoice processing (particularly with any pricing queries) and the optimisation of the Purchase to Pay cycle
  • Maintain accurate records and files associated with all sourcing requirements at all times
  • Submit monthly report detailing activity within the month and savings achieved in the UK.
  • Role requires travelling and additional time working away from home on occasion. (No more than 20% of time).

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge & experience in all aspects of the Purchase to Pay cycle
  • Fundamental knowledge of the Supply Chain & the impact that Purchasing has on it.
  • Working understanding of Marketing spends including media, insights, point-of-sale and agency services
  • Appreciation of and the skills to be effective in an international Matrix environment

  • Procurement key contacts covers all areas of the business according to which category of purchases: Finance, GBS, Marketing, Commercial, Legal, IT, Compliance, HR, Master Data, etc.
  • The job-holder will liaise with other BSI Procurement staff within International, APAC and in Americas, as well as Corporate functions such as Legal, GBS, MKT, Finance
  • Will maintain a very close coordination relationship with associates and peers in the region, integrating global negotiations and suppliers, adjusting them to the requirements and specifications at International level.

  • Suppliers – all levels of suppliers, ranging Sales Directors and Account Managers, in the UK and Internationally, including Marketing Agencies and POS providers.
  • Industry Associations (WFA, ANA, ISBA, AGDA…)
