It’s an opportunity to be part of something special.About the roleThe Customer Planning and Execution Trainer is embedded within the NRM Performance Hub and is responsible for providing specialist and expert support to develop and deliver education and training materials for the Customer Business Planning (CBP) and Trade Spend Management (TSM) systems and processes.The CBP and TSM process covers the end to end process of planning and executing the money we invest with our trade customers. The full process covers setting up of trade budgets, customer business planning including baseline volume planning, planning long term agreements, planning short term promotions including uplift volume, accruals, trade claims and reporting.The Customer Planning and Execution Trainer will be responsible for:

  • Continuously improving the learning approach and how we deliver support material and training to the super user and end user community.
  • Creating new and updating existing CBP & TSM learning materials as new functionality and enhancements are added to these processes and systems.
  • Maintaining the TSM learning hub.
  • Deliver training, either through Train the Trainer (in the case of new joiners) or direct training to end users (in the case of new deployments).
  • Work closely with global training and access teams to ensure links to associated training materials are accurate and up to date.

Basic Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Solid industry experience in a Technical Training environment, including experience of trade spend / promotion management.
  • Experience of developing and delivering training material for SAP TPM (Trade Promotion Management), SAP TFM (Trade Funds Management), SAP TCM (Trade Claims Management) and SAP CBP (Customer Business Planning).
  • Experience of other SAP modules, especially SAP APO (Advanced Planning & Optimisation), SAP SD (Sales & Distribution) and SAP FI (Financial Accounting) is beneficial.
  • Deep understanding of the adult learning process and up to date understanding of modern workplace learning approaches, tools and approaches: demonstrable through work experience and active participation in industry specific groups and/or bodies (e.g. LinkedIn, Learning & Performance Institute, CIPD etc.)
  • Experience in instructional design, supporting business change and transformation initiatives, using both traditional (e.g. PowerPoint) and more modern tools/technology (e.g. Podcasts, Gamification)
  • Experience of training delivery, in a range of settings (ILT, Remote Learning, 1-2-1 coaching) including Train the Trainer and supporting Super Users in training delivery.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, stakeholder management and project & scheduling planning and management
  • Solid understanding of training and development management processes, including latest up to date approaches including developing LNA/TNA’s.
  • Solid experience in MS office tools, education and training development software (e.g. Adobe Captivate, SAP Enable Now, virtual classroom software) Specific experience of training development, delivery and management, within a range of SAP modules
  • Recognised qualifications in appropriate bodies/tools and professional bodies (e.g. COLF, SAP Certification, CIPD)

Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the analysis of business processes in order to establish end-user training requirements.
  • Continuously improve the learning approach for the CBP & TSM business process, ensuring that the training needs of the market end users and super users are met.
  • Create new and update existing associated learning materials (incl. presentations, exercises, data, help cards, assessments both for instructor lead and computer-based training) using a range of tools and approaches appropriate to the requirement, that support effective knowledge retention and skill development in end users.
  • Deliver training to local super users in support of the Train the Trainer approach.
  • Deliver training to end users globally (expected to be face to face in London and virtual for off-site users) for new deployments.
  • Provide support to local super users in delivering end user training.
  • Ensure all learning materials contain appropriate guidance notes for the classroom trainer, and that this is effectively knowledge transferred to Super Users
  • Ensure all courseware materials are integrated in the corresponding learning curriculum and that all materials are created to agreed quality standards and templates.
