We are passionate about the industry and always on the lookout for new talent to join us on our journey…A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FRONT OFFICE – NIGHTS TEAM MEMBER at THE MET HOTEL, LEEDSWhat you’ll be doing…Reporting to the Night Guest Services Manager you can expect your working day to include the following.

  • Greeting guests, check in and checking out guests and assisting them with any general enquiries.
  • Serving food and beverage from the 24/7 menu to any late arrivals and residents
  • Carrying out security patrols and ensuring the safety and comfort of our guests during their stay
  • Completing the Reception shift and balancing the day’s business and running the Night Audit process
  • Processing card payments, charges, and banking reconciliation
  • Assisting guests with their forward travel plans and making reservations as required

Shift: 10:45 pm – 07:15amWHAT WE NEED FROM YOUWe hire mostly on personality & potential but here are a few of our requirements…To succeed in the role of Night Porter you will need the following qualities and skills.

  • You will need to be well presented, approachable and helpful, along with a good command of the English language.
  • Be able to work well on your own using your own initiative and with others as you are part of a team working on shifts.
  • Follow the checklist protocols and be confident in computer skills and telephone answering.
  • Be a good team player and all-round problem solver to help our guests.
  • Have previous experience in guest facing roles and be able to work well in a calm and busy environment.
  • Have a good standard of numeracy and be able to complete work to timelines as the audit process is an essential part of our daily operation.
