THE POSITION

Searching for a career where everyday is a new challenge? The Access Control Team in the Employment, Banking, and Revenue (EBR) Technical Services Office (TSO) has an immediate need for a Information Technology Generalist 1. Th e Access Control Team is responsible for setup of accounts while managing access using Windows Active Directory to allow access for staff to support the Commonwealth of PA. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Information Technology Generalist 1 assists with Windows Active Directory domain user provisioning responsibilities. The incumbent of this position will work with Commonwealth, business partner and citizen user repositories. You must possess an understanding of how Windows Active Directory operates and how data can be stored, utilized, and queried by various third-party applications. Understanding the security precautions required for such access and ensuring that the proper level of caution is taken when handling access to the stored information.

This position requires working knowledge of Windows Server environment including Broadcom SiteMinder and Identity Manager products and capabilities, Active Directory, the concepts of user provisioning and virtual directories, an understanding of Role Based Access Control (RBAC) for application security. A general understanding of IT roles including application development is critical to creating a complete and secure operating environment.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment.

  • Work hours are 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday – Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. You must come into the office ONE DAY A MONTH AT A MINIMUM. You will be expected to work from home (telework) for the reminder of your work schedule but this could change and you may be required to come into the office more frequently. The office is headquartered at 651 Boas Street, Harrisburg. You must have a securely configured high-speed Internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

  • Salary: Selected candidates, who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary (before taxes) of $58,035.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services;or

  • One year as an Information Technology Trainee or Information Technology Technician;or

  • One year of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate’s degree in any information technology field; or

  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

    Other Requirements:

  • This particular position also requires two or more years of full-time information technology experience with Windows Active Directory.

  • This particular position also requires two or more years of full-time information technology experience with Windows Permissions.
