Job Description

Wynn Las Vegas, a leading luxury brand, seeks an experienced and detail-oriented Data Engineer to join our Casino Marketing team. The successful candidate will specialize in improving data quality and ensuring the reliability of datasets, exploring and integrating new technologies to enhance the analytics data ecosystem, and defining and enforcing schema within the Analytics data ecosystem. This role requires a strong technical background and a passion for data integrity and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Quality and Reliability:

  • Enhance data quality by developing and implementing robust data validation processes.
  • Monitor data pipelines to ensure the reliability and accuracy of datasets.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data issues to maintain high standards of data integrity.

Technology Integration:

  • Explore, evaluate, and integrate new technologies to enhance the analytics data ecosystem.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data engineering and analytics.
  • Implement innovative solutions to improve data processing and analysis capabilities.

Schema Definition and Enforcement:

  • Define and enforce schema within the Analytics data ecosystem.
  • Ensure consistency and standardization of data structures across different data sources.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to design and implement effective data models.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus
  • Proven experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on data quality and reliability
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems
  • Experience with data integration tools and ETL processes (e.g., Airflow)
  • Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Visa Sponsorship is not available for this role
  • Local candidates highly preferred
