Job description
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global logistics business as they scale their internal technology function. They are now hiring for a new Senior IT Network Engineer to join the Coventry head office.
- Working as part of a team that operates on a global basis, you will cover all manner of networking responsibilities, including LAN/WAN, wireless, security and VoIP.
- You will operate across the full project lifecycle, covering areas such as proof of concept, design, procurement of hardware, config, installation, testing and documentation.
- The role will be heavily project-focused, where you will lead on multiple projects simultaneously, from inception through to completion, including site launches impacting userbases spanning 50 to 1,000+.
- In addition to the core project elements, you will also take ownership of 3rd Line BAU support for networking issues impacting primary sites and data centres.
- With the team having a global remit, you will have the flexibility to travel internationally where required, predominantly to European sites, with this making up approx. 25% of the role.
- The majority of the team are based at the company’s Coventry headquarters, and whilst the role does operate on a hybrid basis, with flexibility for home working, you will ideally be based within a sensible commuting distance of the Coventry HQ.

- A minimum of 5 years commercial experience within a project-focused Networking role.
- This will ideally be within a large, enterprise-scale environment.
- Strong commercial experience with SD-WAN and VoIP.
- Cisco router and switch experience, including Cisco Meraki.
- ASA / Palo Alto firewall experience.
- CCNP accreditation (beneficial, not essential).
