Are you ready to join the Fearless?Job DescriptionWorking in partnership with the Group Head of Social & Content, Head of Creative and your respective Social Media Teams, the Social Strategist will deliver an effective social strategy across Sports Direct, Flannels & House of Fraser social channels. Key objectives will include reach, site traffic, engagement, and paid CTR. They will ensure that all communication and content reflect each brand’s personality, delivers on key marketing objectives and leverages culture to drive relevance for our brands. Key channels will include Instagram, TikTok & Facebook in year one.THIS ROLE IS RIGHT FOR YOU IF…

  • You are looking for an opportunity to lead a team working across several brand accounts within a group environment whilst collaborating with the biggest brands in the world such as Nike, adidas, Prada, Stone Island, Represent, PUMA to name a few.
  • Want to innovate and have a hands-on approach to deliver an end-to-end social group social strategy using our in-house team across strategy, marketing, creative, influencer, production and measurement.
  • Are aware that this is not a traditional 9-5 pm role you must be open and motivated to working around key cultural moments that sometimes will sit outside of office hours most of which will be delegated to your teams

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE * Strategy Development: Create and implement social media strategies aligned with our business goals

  • Insights: Keep the wider teams up to date on how audience engagement with the platforms is changing (e.g. TikTok) by curating insights and developing thought pieces.
  • Content Creation: Oversee the creation of engaging content for various social media platforms (e.g., text, images, videos) whilst being the strategic backbone ensuring all content produced across all channels is on brand, on strategy and fuelled by social insight.
  • Campaign Management: Plan and execute social media campaigns, including promotions and paid advertising with the paid social team.
  • Community Engagement: Manage and grow social media communities by responding to comments and engaging with followers.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of social media campaigns. Provide regular reports and insights to management.
  • Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Collaboration: Work with other departments (e.g., marketing, sales, customer service) to ensure brand consistency and support cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Ability to translate brand purpose and promise into social strategy
  • Ability to identify relevant cultural insights and to identify relevant audiences and passion groups to target
  • Deep understanding of how people engage with social platforms, and how behaviour is changing
  • Ability to translate data into insights to inform creative strategy
  • Ability to identify big picture trends, and translate them into clear ‘so whats’
  • Great facilitation skills – for workshops and creative sprints
  • Ability to develop inspirational creative briefs for the creative content team
