Immigration Paralegal – Leading City Law Firm – Central London.Taylor Root have partnered with a leading city law firm in their search for an experienced Paralegal to join their Immigration practice. This role is being offered on a permanent basis and will be based in the firms London office.The FirmOur client prides itself on being a city law firm that strives to make a difference. The firms clients are diverse, ranging from global household names and public bodies, to start-ups, charities and social enterprises.The TeamThe Immigration practice handles all aspects of immigration and nationality law, including work permits, skilled worker applications, residency, asylum and human rights. They stand as one of the top immigration firms in the country for personal and business-related immigration matters. This is reflected in their current Legal 500 ranking in Tier 1.The RoleYou will work closely with Associates and Partners on business and personal immigration matters. This will include:

• Perform legal and factual research – reviewing case facts, identifying the relevant laws and ensuring all other relevant information is considered in a case.
• Reviewing legal documents.
• Organise and analyse information.
• Cross-check and validate information.
• Prepare written reports.
• Draft legal documents.
• Prepare correspondence and letters of advice to clients for fee earners’ review.
• Research application processes in the UK and overseas.
• Review and monitor new and updated regulations.
• Correspond with clients.
• Proof reading legal documents.
• Prepare application packs for clients and upload supporting documents online.
• Review and assess eligibility of jobs for sponsorship under the immigration system in order to advise corporate clients.

The Ideal CandidateThe hiring preference for this role is an individual who has previous immigration experience, ideally from another top tier private practice law firm.
