Seeking a bright and passionate high end residential Junior Interior Designer for a small, family run boutique design studio in OxfordshireHigh End Residential Junior Interior DesignerSmall, family-run, and boutique interior design studioBased in OxfordshireSalary Guide: £23,000 – £26,000SummaryA position for a bright and passionate High End Residential Junior Interior Designer has just become available at a small, family run, and boutique interior design studio based in Oxfordshire (with some flexibility). The ideal candidate will be a kind and hard working multi tasker who is ambitious and eager to learn while also working flexibly within a team.This role will suit someone with strong attention to detail as well as a conscientious and proactive approach to all areas of duty. They will also be looking to expand their experience and grow within a small team of established designers.Job description:
- Part of the growing interiors team, working with the wider design team during all phases of the design process from concept to handover
- Keeping the design library of books, samples, and materials in order
- Preparing documents and materials for meetings
- Create, prepare, and present design concepts for review, mood boards, research, and have a strong understanding of materials
- Producing furniture layouts, floor plans and joinery
- Disciplined to work within FF&E budgets and source to a timetable
- Source and procure items at all stages of the construction and installation
- Ensure regular reviews at key stages with the design team
- Attend site visits when needed
- Develop, design, and present ideas for implementation to lead designers and directors
Skills necessary:
- Firstly, you will need previous high end residential design experience using Vectorworks or AutoCAD
- Secondly, at least 1+ years of experience in luxury residential design in the UK
- Also, you must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or a similar qualification
- You will also be the component in producing furniture layouts and floor plans
- Also, you need to be able to interpret what is needed for the look and select appropriate FF&E items
- Experience in being part of a collaborative design environment
- Knowledge of local and online showrooms and resources and industry trends
- Thrives in a fast-paced dynamic, creative environment
- Confident in taking initiative and managing assigned tasks while working independently
- Strong communication and presentation skills, written, verbal and visual
