DESCRIPTIONAmazon Finance is looking for a candidate to lead the UK Stores Finance team.As Senior Finance Manager UK Stores you will be overall responsible for UK Stores financial results and controllership, coordinate and own UK reviews together with business and finance country leaders and FP&A, and will closely collaborate with EU Business and Finance VPs and Directors. The role comes with a team of finance managers and analysts.We are looking for an experienced candidate who is excited to bring their skills, talent and passion to growing our newly emerged marketplaces, eager to design, build and to roll out new customer-centric expansion initiatives across Europe, whilst relentlessly innovating and prioritizing in regards to process and team set ups in order to ensure fast decision making within lean business and Finance teams.The role is broad based and will require managing a high number of stakeholders, we are looking for someone who is motivated to make a big impact in a highly ambiguous environment.Key job responsibilities
Day to Day management of UK Stores Finance team, ensuring high level of Job Satisfaction and Work-Life-Harmony is ensured via well set up processes and clear defined ownership.Ensure UK Stores short- and long-term financial commitments will be delivered.Ownership of regular UK Stores business reviews such as Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), annual financial planning (OP1/OP2) as well as financial sign off of investment business cases.Finance business partner for overall UK Stores leaders.Maintaining a high level of knowledge across all business areas by staying current on initiatives, challenges and opportunities.Driving process innovation, automation and improvements across UK, allowing for agile and efficient business decisions whilst maintaining work-life harmony.This position is office-based, with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week in line with Amazon’s current flexible work guidance. Amazon encourages open communication about unique needs for flexible arrangements.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS– Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field
– Experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field
– Experience in performing financial and ad hoc analysis using data reporting tools
– Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
– Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
– Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysisPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS– Experience recruiting, hiring and developing talent
– Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
– Experience in identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan
– Experience in mentoring junior finance or business team members
