Utilizing your excellent communication skills, you will have the opportunity to build relationships both within and outside the accounting department.WHAT YOU’LL DO :

  • Responsible for the billing and reconciliation of some of the management company’s largest revenue streams. This will include following GAAP revenue recognition policies, performing the calculation of fees, and writing variance analysis that is presented to the executive team quarterly.
  • Record and analyze changes in payroll-related expenses, the largest expense driver within the company, for 150+ entities with differing ownership structures.
  • Prepare account reconciliations for a variety of accounting areas ranging from routine ones that are applicable across most companies (e.g. fixed assets, debt, prepaids) and complex ones that will sharpen your technical prowess (e.g. intangibles, derivatives & hedges, intercompany transactions).
  • Collaborate with internal departments by gathering relevant business and financial operations information to achieve Corporate accounting goals.
  • Embrace the professional opportunities of working at a public company. This includes preparing financial disclosures timely to meet SEC filing deadlines and adhering to SOX-compliant processes.
  • Lead special projects or complete other tasks as needed.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED (REQUIREMENTS) :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
  • 2+ years of related accounting experience
  • CPA or active candidate is preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong computer skills
  • Public accounting or real estate/REIT experience are pluses
