In achieving this vision, the Faculty is guided by values of integrity, respect, equity and diversity .Your opportunity:Under the general supervision of the Manager, Fitness & Performance (F&P), the incumbent organizes recreational personal training, registered and drop-in programs, Intercollegiate/High Performance F&P programs and provides a wide range of administrative services including assisting with the coordination of F&P related marketing, outreach, promotion and events. The incumbent assists the coordination of the recruitment and training of casual staff. The incumbent facilitates the scheduling, planning and follow-up items for Fitness and Performance meetings, as well as inter-departmental meetings. The incumbent assists in scheduling staff, ensuring proper coverage is maintained, provides orientations on procedures and practices and directs activities of casual staff. The incumbent maintains all Fitness and Performance related program information on the KPE website, as well as coordinates program set up and registration within the FUSION portal. The incumbent coordinates the collection and analysis of metrics related to Fitness and Performance program usage and participant involvement.Your responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing service delivery and/or internal processes and recommending improvements
  • Advising on the creation of efficiencies for business processes and productivity
  • Analyzing administrative processes and procedures and recommending changes for improvement
  • Implementing plans and process improvements for administrative workflow
  • Coordinating the recruitment process and training of casual staff
  • Analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of fitness programs
  • Identifying and reporting equipment repair and replacement needs

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum two years experience in administration, preferably in a university athletic setting or fitness industry environment
  • Minimum two years experience in fitness assessment programs or equivalent service orientation field
  • Knowledge of planning and organizing physical activity programs and promoting physical activity.
  • Standard First Aid and CPR are required
  • Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively within a team and independently
  • Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication and editorial skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail, ability to exercise discretion and good judgment

Assets (Nonessential):

  • Familiarity with high performance sport, intercollegiate sport and strength training, in particular, is an asset.
  • Knowledge of FUSION and/or equivalent software is an asset.

Pay Scale Group & Hiring Zone:
