Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Customer Service Representative who is open to contract and contract to hire opportunities locally in the Birmingham area. Your primary role will be to enhance customer satisfaction, meet customer needs and requirements, and ensure the smooth and efficient management of information and queries from our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming calls and customer service inquiries

  • Identify and assess customers’ needs and provide appropriate remedies and solutions

  • Build and maintain sustainable relationships with customers through open and interactive communication

  • Keep records of customer interactions, transactions, complaints and details of inquiries, comments, and actions taken

  • Contribute to ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction

  • Follow through to ensure resolution and customer satisfaction

  • Provide feedback on the efficiency of the customer service process

  • Generate sales leads and upsell products/services when necessary

  • Work with the manager to ensure proper customer service is being delivered

  • Handle customer complaints or any major incidents, analyze complaints from customers and provide appropriate solutions

  • Meet personal/team sales targets and call handling quotas

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative

  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel in particular)

  • Ability to stay calm when customers are stressed or upset

  • Comfortable using computers and other software

  • Experience working with customer support CRM software and knowledge of how to interpret customer satisfaction metrics

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

  • High school degree; Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field would be a plus.
