Pathways Employment Help Centre (PEHC) unleashes people’s potential through Employment, Skills Training and AdvocacyPathways Employment Help Centre is hiring a Employment Retention SpecialistLocation: London, ONPosition Summary:Reporting to the Director of Employment Services, the successful candidate maintains contact with new employees at post-employment milestones, collects necessary proof of ongoing employment, and provides mentoring and support to ensure success in the workforce. The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, determined, and bring a passion for excellence in customer service and support. Job Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as Social Work, Human Resources, or Career Development Practitioner, or equivalent education and experience
  • 2-3 years experience in a similar role with demonstrated success
  • Demonstrated experience in client engagement, retention strategies, or related areas within the employment services sector
  • Exceptional customer service skills, an excellent communicator, and the ability to quickly build trust and rapport with diverse client populations
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to accurately and efficiently administrate details related to data management and reporting systems
  • Advanced skills in Word and Excel and familiarity with Webtracker and CaMS would be an asset
  • Strong understanding of community partners and resources
  • Determined, resilient, tenacious, and able to persevere when facing challenges
  • Bilingualism is an asset

This is what you will do.

  • Designs and implements retention strategies to meet client needs and program guidelines
  • Build ongoing connections with clients to facilitate open communication and support
  • Assists and guides clients facing employment-related barriers and offers resources, referrals, and opportunities to enhance clients’ job retention
  • Monitors client progress and retention outcomes through scheduled checkpoints and follow-ups
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance retention initiatives, resources, and outcomes
  • Maintains accurate records of client interactions and outcomes and documents client progress in compliance with program guidelines
  • Connect with clients at milestones by phone, text or email and enlist their assistance with gathering of proof of employment
  • Assists in determining the best times of day/evening to make personal contact with clients and be available to work those hours.
