As we continue to grow, providing the sales and distribution teams with the right tools to succeed in a competitive environment is critical to powering the future value of our contentTo meet the ever evolving needs of the business, and to ensure we remain a market leader in the distribution space, ITV Studios and Global Partnerships are working on a major programme of change, building out new systems and capabilities for Rights, Content Sales & Licensing, Royalties and Contract Lifecycle Management.A key part of this programme is to accurately migrate complex business data from our existing tools to the new technology.The roleWith an excellent understanding of media & entertainment licensing agreements, the Business Affairs Data Cleanse role will be responsible for analysing and reviewing complex licensing agreements and understanding how these have been set up in ITV’s existing systems, in order to identify areas where this data can be ‘cleaned up’ as part of ITV’s migration to a new Sales & Licensing platform, in order to improve both the accuracy and the usability of the data.The role would be ideally suited to someone with a background working for an international distributor in either Sales & Licensing or Legal & Business Affairs; and, who is equally comfortable working across both business and technical domains as a core responsibility of the position will be to analyse, understand and organise large sets of media industry data.The extent of your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Work closely with RACS implementation team and GP Sales Business Lead to understand the scope and ambition of the RACS transformation programme at ITV and, specifically, the importance of the data cleanse and migration workstream within it
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the proposed data structures for each of the different licence types in ITV’s new Sales & Licensing platform (Rightsline)
- Develop a good, high-level, awareness for how to navigate and use ITV’s current Sales & Licensing solution (PARIS)
- Working closely with both ITV Sales and the Legal & Business Affairs teams, review how specific terms for key ITV licences have been captured in PARIS to identify:
- where there are potential discrepancies between signed licences and what has been captured in the system
- Where there are opportunities to clean up data to make it more consistent and more reportable
- Help to analyse exports of licence data from PARIS to identify and advise on where opportunities exist to migrate data, captured as free text in current system, in to structured system fields in the new Sales & Licensing system
- Work with the data cleanse and migration team, along with team of Sales Coordinators to make updates to licence agreements in ITV’s existing Sales & Licensing system to “clean” up data in order to meet required data specifications for migration
- Act as a key point of contact for enquiries from RACS data cleanse and migration leads
- Provide regular updates to RACS and Sales Operations on progress of the data cleanse and migration activities, including identifying and tracking any risks and dependencies to senior stakeholders
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- Demonstrable experience of working in Sales and Licensing or Legal and Business Affairs within the Media and Entertainment sector
- Strong understanding of Content and IP licencing agreements, including a comprehensive knowledge of industry standard market terms and definitions
- Self-starter, able to prioritise and manage tasks and deadlines across multiple projects concurrently.
- Hands on experience of working with Rights Management solutions to systemise media licensing agreements
- Experience of working on data analysis and migration programmes preferred but not essential
The following may also be beneficial:
- Experience with or knowledge of Rightsline
- Experience with or knowledge of Salesforce
