The role
The Training Equipment Assets Manager main duties will comprise of the following:

Leading a small team of equipment administrators
-
The Asset Manager will be responsible for a number of Government Furnished Assets (GFA) across multiple RN sites
-
Maintaining accurate records of training equipment to inform the GFA holder,
-
Attendance at relevant meetings
-
Oversee the management and maintenance of training equipment assets across the Selborne Estates
-
Provide regular reports on asset utilisation, maintenance schedules, and any issues related to training equipment
-
Conduct Training Equipment Audits as required
-
Work closely with other Key Stakeholders teams to ensure seamless integration of training equipment into educational programs
-
Develop, and Implement updates to the Asset Database
-
Oversee the population and ongoing maintenance of the Asset Database
-
Manage data quality and ensure data governance
-
Create reports and dashboards to monitor assets and identify improvement opportunities
-
Collaborate with teams and the business to ensure effective asset management throughout the life of the contract
-
Ensure compliance with safety standards, maintenance protocols, and relevant regulations
-
Be ‘Responsible for championing and fostering a culture of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance and continuous improvement’

Any other duties required to complete the Training Equipment Service in the management of assets
Essential:

Managing large amounts of assets

Dealing with difficult/unusual requests

Managing a team

Strong Analytical skills

Strong communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
Desirable:

Management of Government Assets including alignment with the relevant DefStans and JSP’s

Working within MoD contracts

Risk management
-
Financial analysis
-
Institute of Asset Management (IAM) Diploma or working towards qualification.

Some familiarity with training equipment used in military or educational settings
