With flexibility to create a schedule that suits your needs and preferences, you can provide exceptional and personalized care.Role Description:In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments to determine the unique needs of patients, both initially and on an ongoing basis. Collaborating closely with physicians, you will develop and revise personalized treatment plans based on patient progress. Furthermore, you will assist in the development and implementation of interdisciplinary patient care plans, specifically tailored to Physical Therapy. By working hand in hand with physicians, you will administer diagnostic and prognostic tests to evaluate patients’ muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities. Through a diverse range of physical therapy techniques, such as exercise, massage, heat, water, light, and electricity, you will effectively alleviate pain, enhance function, and optimize performance.Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine patients’ unique needs
- Collaborate closely with physicians to develop and revise personalized treatment plans
- Administer diagnostic and prognostic tests to evaluate patients’ abilities
- Utilize various physical therapy techniques to alleviate pain and enhance function
- Educate and guide patients and their families in the physical therapy program
- Provide necessary equipment to support the treatment plan
- Coordinate outpatient services for procedures that cannot be administered at home
- Maintain accurate and timely records of evaluations, treatments, and therapy intervention responses
- Provide supervision to Physical Therapy Assistants and paraprofessionals
Requirements:
- Graduate of a Physical Therapy school approved by the Council of Medical Education of the A.M.A., in collaboration with the American Physical Therapy Association
- Valid license to practice Physical Therapy in the state of Hawaii
- Minimum of one year of institutional/home health experience (preferred)
- Complete criminal background check and current CPR certification
