  • Advises employees regarding directives from leaders and provides value-added financial analysis to make informed decisions that better utilize resources and improve mission effectiveness.
  • Manages the allocation and monitoring of financial resources in compliance with laws, regulations and policies, with sufficient transparency and appropriate internal controls.
  • Creates and implements processes whereby employees extract data, identify and resolve system problems, and maintain data integrity.
  • Develops, monitors and communicates standardized processes and operations to ensure transparency and promote efficiency and accountability to leadership.
  • Leads research and analysis efforts related to budget formulation and execution, financial analysis, governance, operations, cost analysis, accounting, and program control.

  • Supervisory requirements may be required depending upon the position being filled.
  • This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, Section 1599d. Incumbent shall comply with the requirements.
  • Travel and/or performance of additional duties may be required.
  • This is an APDP posn requiring Level/Tier 2 (Practitioner) Non-Critical certification in Business-Financial Management (K) within 24 months of assignment

QualificationsExperience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. To qualify for this position, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the DO-1/GS-11 or equivalent pay plan. Specialized experience may be advising employees on financial analysis to make informed decisions regarding resources, manage allocation and monitoring of financial resources, ensuring law, policy, and procedures are properly applied, lead research and analysis efforts related to budget formulation and execution.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: * Problem Solving
