You will be responsible for the day-to-day aspects of Institutional Retirement’s digital internal communications channels, including creating, distributing, and analysing content. Working closely with other members of the Institutional Retirement Internal Communications team, this role will support the development and implementation of the internal communications strategy (along with associated plans and campaigns) across our channel matrix, contributing to planning and execution of colleague engagement campaigns and BAU activities to keep our people informed, truly connected, and engaged. A key aspect of this role is to support in engaging employees and helping them understand both our strategy and the role they play in helping us to achieve our ambitions and shape our culture.What you’ll be doing:Supporting the coordination of Institutional Retirement’s day-to-day digital channels and own our international content calendar, identifying stories from across our locations and opportunities to share our content more widely. This will include planning, drafting, production and distribution of creative and accessible content for our key audiences, including emails, newsletters, the intranet (Hub), news stories, MS Teams updates and multimedia content.Contributing to the planning and execution of in-person and virtual events designed to inform, engage and connect our people, including Town Halls, Strategy & Culture events, learning and discussion sessionsSupporting with channel management and optimisation by ensuring distribution lists are updated, digital communications templates are engaging and fit for purpose, mailboxes are monitored and by creating a library of on-brand and inclusive images suitable for internal communicationsContributing to shaping our Institutional Retirement culture by supporting the creation and distribution of communications around our People Strategy designed to support our people in being the best they can be, including employee engagement, performance management, volunteering, wellbeing and diversity and inclusionLiaising with key business stakeholders to support the development and delivery of their communication content to ensure consistent and inclusive communication across the Division, with a focus on leveraging storytelling to bring our Focus Areas and purpose to lifeWorking closely with the wider global Institutional Retirement Marketing and Communications team, as well as our Group Internal Communications team, to ensure an integrated approach to our communications planning and content creationTreating Customers Fairly: Reviewing the performance of products and the service provided to customers to ensure that expected and acceptable standards are achievedQualifications:Who we’re looking for:

  • Understand the role internal communications and employee engagement play in creating a great place to work.
  • Knowledge of organisational processes and software to support and drive efficiency.
  • Understand the role of internal communications as part of the wider communications landscape, including external communications, marketing and PR.
  • Creative and pro-active in generating innovative and engaging content.
  • Collaborative and enthusiastic individual with the ability to develop and maintain good relationships with key stakeholders as well as external suppliers.
  • Experience in supporting with the planning and execution of dynamic and innovative internal communications, content, campaigns and events.
  • Experience of working with digital channels (such as SharePoint, Teams, Forms, Content Management Systems), including utilising the intranet as an effective communications tool.
  • Some experience of working across a range of subject matters and audience segments, with a flexible attitude and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.
  • Proven ability to simplify complex subject matter and write engaging copy for a wide range of audiences, as well as accurately proofing a variety of copy and communications materials.
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Organised with strong attention to detail and proven ability to plan and manage projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to engage productively with stakeholders, colleagues and external partners.
  • Excellent eye for design and visual communication.
