We are looking for a UX Researcher to join our growing User Experience Design Team to help us build a deep understanding of our users and how our products work for them. As our UX Researcher, you will support our Product teams by generating user insights, whilst working closely with designers and developers to iteratively improve our products for our users and better satisfy their needs using tooling.You will be responsible for the logistics of research, including participant recruitment and customer management due to the specialist nature of research at Microlise. Subsequently, you will plan and conduct user research activities using both qualitative and quantitative methods. Following this you will analyse, present, and manage the findings to steer the user experience of our products through insight databases.Do you have experience with and are comfortable working with agile development teams?   • Take responsibility for recruiting participants, scheduling research sessions, managing customers and following up with participants when planning and executing research
  • Planning user research activities to improve understanding of our user base and how our products work for them
  • Conducting generative research to gain a rich and thorough understanding of users based on qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Introducing tooling and working with the Customer Success team to build our user engagement programme which will help improve our ability to learn from our users
  • Analysing research data to identify key insights for design proposals and driving these into the business via blog posts, dashboards, and insight databases
  • Helping to inform product goals by presenting research findings to other designers and product teams
  • Advocating for users’ needs with internal and external stakeholders
  • Working with development teams and Product Owners to help them understand and act upon user insights
  • Conducting evaluative research to test and improve upon our design solutions

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in organising and leading the logistics of research
  • Demonstrable user research knowledge and experience
  • Able to analyse insights and interpret data, turning findings into meaningful insights and capitalise on trends
  • Practical experience in using a variety of user research methods to reveal actionable insights
  • Confident in explaining user needs to professionals within the wider organisation
  • Persuasive advocate for user needs in a clear concise manner
  • Superb social / interpersonal skills
