Position: Production Planner
Location: Montreal – East (3 days in the office, 2 days remote)
Salary: $65,000.00 – $85,000.00 + 8% bonusOur client, a manufacturing company specializing in the production and supply of pharmaceutical products in the East of Montreal is looking for a Production Planner with some buying responsibilities to join their growing team.Key Responsibilities:Production Planning:– Balance workload across production lines to optimize resource utilization.
– Continuously update SAP with real-time production data and long-term forecasts.
– Monitor and manage production orders (OP) from creation to closure, ensuring on time completion.
– Lead daily meetings to maintain clear communication and promptly resolve issues.
– Launch work orders based on production needs and capacity.
– Maintain and update item databases in SAP for accurate and reliable information.Procurement for Production:– Process MRP requests, create purchase orders (PO), and track deliveries with suppliers
– Collaborate on establishing standard costs and managing product data within the
information system
– Build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers to ensure product quality and meet company needs
– Update and maintain purchase prices in the information system, ensuring alignment with commercial agreementsInventory Management:– Supervise inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished products to avoid shortages or excess.
– Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials.
– Manage and track raw materials nearing expiration to minimize losses.Candidate Profile:– Minimum DEC in a relevant field
– 3-5 years of experience in a production planning capacity in a manufacturing environment
– Experience in SAP is required
– Strong knowledge of production management systems (ERP, MRP) is an asset
– Quick, bright, and detail-oriented
– Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
