The role involves managing a book of around 150 clients, handling their enquiries, and building lasting relationships.Please note this is a full-time, permanent opportunity. The role will be based in our Farnborough office and ideally be onsite 2 days per week. You will also be required to do occasional travel for client visits, off-site training, and other meetings as and when required.OverviewAs an Account Handler, you will be instrumental in delivering flawless service to our clients, ensuring their happiness and ongoing partnership. You will work closely with the Account Executive to implement successful strategies and achieve outstanding outcomes.Liaise effectively with the Account Executive to ensure an appropriate strategy for renewal, attend client meetings as necessary, and action meeting points (if applicable).Undertake market exercises to establish the most competitive terms available.Acquire renewal terms and present them to clients.Produce and issue professional summaries and reports using Howden templates.Issue renewal documentation in line with contract certainty.Ensure premiums are collected prior to the commencement of cover and in line with Howden procedures.Prioritise and handle all work promptly and accurately.Handle all queries, whether written or by telephone, in a professional manner and process them effectively in line with service standards.Record all relevant information, correspondence, and documentation on Acturis and make effective use of the diary system.Produce accurate and professional documentation at all times using relevant Howden templates.KnowledgeTo excel in this role, you should have a strong grasp of General Insurance and rigorously adhere to the CII’s Code of Ethics and GDPR. While experience in motor trade insurance or High Net Worth in motor insurance is helpful, we offer extensive training to support your growth.Solid understanding of all the main classes of General Insurance and the CII’s Code of Ethics and GDPR.Knowledge of motor trade insurance or High Net Worth within motor insurance is desirable.SkillsWe are seeking a candidate with demonstrated technical insurance skills, outstanding attention to detail, and the ability to process work quickly and efficiently. Your superb client service skills, along with extensive negotiation and broking experience, will be critical to your success in this position.Good level of technical insurance skills, to be assessed by regular in-house testing.Accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to process work quickly and efficiently.Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.Excellent client service skills, combined with good negotiation and broking experience.Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to persuade and influence others.Ability to capture and analyse information from the client and respond appropriately to an individual client’s level of understanding.QualificationsTo be considered for this role, you should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in providing specialist advice in the insurance market.
