Management Accountant

Mission:

An effective Finance Business Partner, supporting all plant finance operations related to the RTC (Residential Temperature Controls) business. The successful candidate will work closely with production, operations, and the finance team to provide accurate and timely information on business performance.

Location: Plymouth, United Kingdom

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop & maintain the cost accounting system, including involvement in the generation of “new product” costings.
  • Ownership of the annual standard cost build process
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, and analysis of production costs / variances
  • Evolve internal reporting (reports / KPI’s) etc to support the business, providing increased visibility on cost drivers, progress of cost reduction activities etc.
  • Support Plant operations teams with identification, implementation and tracking of plant productivity projects.
  • Capital investment process and appraisal prior to approval by management
  • Supporting the quarterly forecast process and annual budgeting processes
  • Provide support to the Finance team as required on various topics / projects.

Skills and attributes:

  • Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work comfortably under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines.
  • Sound understanding of accounting principles and best practices

Education

  • Preferable: CIMA/ACCA Qualified or part qualified, Business/finance degree
  • 5 years’ experience in a related field
