Description:Do you want to be at the forefront of transforming clinical pharmacy? Would you like to undertake a new role as a Specialist Clinical Pharmacy Technician to lead a team of pharmacy technicians in our Mental Health and Community Health teams, as part of an integrated pharmacy service, which delivers joined up care for patients?We are working hard to join up our clinical pharmacy service across NHS Fife, as an integrated pharmacy service across hospital, primary care and specialist teams. The aim is to join up care for our patients across transitions of care and ensure the best outcomes for patients with their medicines.You will be responsible for the leadership, management, development and performance of the technical clinical pharmacy service of our Mental Health and Community Health Teams. The post holder will also have the opportunity to develop their clinical skills within these specialist teams.You must be an excellent communicator who has the ability to build successful relationships with colleagues and other healthcare professionals and be able to work independently or as part of the multi-disciplinary team. You will have experience of working in a clinical environment and managing staff.You should be a registered Pharmacy Technician with significant post qualification experience. You will also have completed either the HNC in Pharmacy Services and Management or completed the Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy Services and Therapeutics (BTEC level 4) qualification and hold a recognised assessors qualification.
SCQF level 9 Management qualifications or willingness to work towards would be advantageous for this post.
The successful candidate will be based at the Victoria Hospital however will be required to work at other sites within NHS Fife.The NHS Fife Pharmacy and Medicines Directorate provides an integrated service to a population of approximately 380,000 people, with a team of around 300 Pharmacy staff, including Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Support Workers, Nurses, and Administrators. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. Your offer/contract of employment will therefore reflect the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
