As the Manager Assurance and Advisory (A&A), you will be accountable for leading or supporting A&A’s practice management initiatives within the Strategy & Governance (S&G) area, working collaboratively with the key members of the A&A team and our internal partners. You will have the opportunity to learn from and provide actionable recommendations on the A&A’s most critical initiatives that enable effective delivery of the Audit Plan.Key accountabilities include:

  • Lead and support internal audit practice management initiatives and enabling activities to streamline audit processes and develop consistency and efficiency in execution.
  • Maintain and evolve audit methodology, governance documents, relevant templates and tools, and provide guidance and coaching to team on standards and methodology.
  • Support the development and monitoring of A&A’s planning activities, including group objectives, strategy, audit plan, resourcing, and budgeting.
  • Coordinate and prepare the quarterly and annual reporting of A&A activities to the Audit Committee and senior management.
  • Oversee the tracking and reporting of audit findings and facilitate regular follow-up by the audit team.
  • Manage A&A’s Quality Assurance & Improvement Program.
  • Manage internal communications and engagement feedback collection.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the training plan for A&A.
  • Support the coordination of continuous monitoring and continuous auditing programs, as well as the delivery of an annual fund-wide opinion.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other key internal and external stakeholders.

QualificationsEducation & Professional Certifications:

  • Undergraduate degree required, preferably in an accounting / business / finance or technology related discipline; post graduate degree is a plus
  • Relevant professional designations, particularly the CPA/CA and CIA, are strongly preferred

Professional Experience:

  • Experience in internal audit role; experience in a professional practice role is preferred.
  • Experience in Board and senior management reporting is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of audit methodologies, standards, and best practices
  • Experience in project management is strongly preferred.

  • Self-managed, flexible to shifting priorities, and able to work with various leaders and stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team having a “hands on” approach as well as appreciate diversity of thought and opinions.
  • Superior communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to take concepts or events and present them simply, concisely, and effectively.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills and a working knowledge of Tableau are strongly preferred.
  • Strong judgment and creativity; strong problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to effectively process a large volume of information and draw meaningful/persuasive conclusions.
  • Proven ability to build and foster professional relationships and influence others effectively at the management and staff levels.
  • Strong organizational/project management skills, the ability to manage and achieve multiple deadlines, both internal and external.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and ability to keep abreast of current investment business and professional trends as well as organizational developments.
