Job description
Seeking Pump Mechanic at all levels (from Apprentice to Lead) for a direct hire opportunity with our client, a top-tier industrial pump installation and repair company in Anaheim, CAThis position offers a comprehensive benefits package including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Flexible Spending, 401(k), paid holidays, Life and Disability Insurance, and additional supplemental products.Training/Certifications: Ability to perform laser alignments and ability to take vibration readings preferredShift Time/Overtime: First Shift with Overtime as requiredPay: $25-45/H based on experience.Job Responsibilities for Pump Mechanic :
- Disassemble and repair rotating or centrifugal pumps
- Read blueprints and drawings
- Use micrometers and dial indicators
- Utilize presses, torches and pullers
- Align pumps and motors
- Rebuild mechanical seals
Qualifications for Pump Mechanic:
- High School Diploma or Trade school or equivalent training.
- 2 plus years of work experience as pump mechanic with installation and repair experience preferred.
- Experience and ability to use safely lifting devices such as cranes, forklifts, and rigging
- Experience or knowledge in welding and fabrication preferred
- Have a working knowledge of fits and clearances
- Be adept at reading micrometers and other measuring instruments
Physical Requirements for Pump Mechanic:
- This position is highly physical and requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, and kneeling.
- It requires employees to regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds
- This position requires working in diverse conditions including, open air shop and field environments
