ABOUT THE JOBGunzilla Games is looking for a Lead VFX Artist who will add extra life to the environment, characters, weapons, and other assets on our game OTG (Off The Grid), an all-new AAA Battle Royale 2.0 third-person shooter, due for release on PlayStation®5, Xbox® Series X|S and PCRESPONSIBILITIESAs a Lead VFX Artist, you will:

  • Lead, Supervise and mentor the VFX team
  • Work with our Lead Art & Creative Directors to maintain and enfsure the VFX vision and style of our game through regular appraisal, review and objective setting for the VFX team
  • Collaborate with Art directors, production director to schedule and assign tasks, goals and milestones for the team.
  • Creation of real-time particle systems in the engine, including textures and materials
  • Explore new technologies on the given platforms to achieve the best possible results
  • Implementation and optimisation of shader-based effects
  • Define and enforce industry-leading working practices and structure for the given project based on scope and resources
  • Ensure good quality standards are set and achieved across the team
  • Ensure good communication & coordination between the VFX team and other development teams

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years experience in game development, with at least 1 shipped AAA title, FPS, Shooter or BR preferred
  • Expert understanding of current game FX processes, limitations and dependencies
  • Strong knowledge of 3ds Max / Maya or Blender, Photoshop, and Substance Designer
  • Strong knowledge of Unreal Engine 4/5
  • Ability to manage the demands of numerous people and tasks
  • Ability to deliver and receive constructive feedback
  • Team leadership qualities and a team player.
  • The ability to manage and supervise artists and to carry out mentorship tasks
  • Good English communication and writing skills
