Whilst we have a bunch of mixed methods covered, we need a more quantitative leaning researcher who is comfortable to own setting up and reviewing our analytics tool FullStory.Our values

About the UX researcher roleYou will:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define key metrics and KPIs to measure quantitative product performance and user behaviour
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards using FullStory to provide actionable insights including setting up documentation and guidance for the team to self-serve
  • Support A/B testing initiatives to optimise product features and user experience
  • Prioritise and plan your workload, deciding how what product dashboards are needed and where to do follow-up research yourself and where to support instead.
  • Design and conduct user research studies using various methodologies (e.g., interviews, surveys, usability testing)
  • Contribute to setting up testing standards and templates for how and when to use different research methods throughout the design process and
  • Using evidence you’ve gathered to build cases for projects to be added to our roadmap.
  • Contribute to our research repository to help us to better understand our customers over time.

  • You love exploring product analytics and are comfortable taking your findings forward to explore and validate them further through additional research
  • You enjoy coaching and teaching others. This role is largely about engaging and upskilling stakeholders to make better decisions using data from our analytics tool(s).
  • You love to experiment and try out new ways of doing things and you have a keen eye for identifying further research opportunities .
  • You’re patient. We’re a new team in a global organisation of 700+ people so it’ll take some time to get to the ways of working we want to have.
  • You’re passionate about climate change and sustainability. No matter what your current level of understanding, it’s an area you’ll actively need to keep learning about and connecting with during your time here.

Your managerYou’ll report into out Senior UX Researcher Justina. She is an experienced researcher who has worked in a variety of industries and has built research teams in the past.Our toolsWe use:

  • Lookback for our qualitative studies
  • Microsoft Teams for team communication
  • FullStory for product analytics

The packageSalaryThis position belongs to a level with a band of £45-68K. The salary offered will depend on how you match up to our growth framework.Benefits

Equipment

  • We’ll provide you with a MacBook Air, monitor, Apple keyboard and Apple mouse or trackpad to make sure you’re set up for success at home.

Working location and hours

  • You’re contracted to work 37.5 hours a week (7.5 per day). These are flexible and can happen on a schedule that suits you between 7am–7pm.
  • You’ll mostly work from home, but you will need to be available to come into our London office near Bank for workshops and team days a couple of times a month. We give plenty of notice in advance so you can plan around office days and get cheap tickets, as this cost isn’t covered by CDP.
  • The office has bike storage, a prayer room and breastfeeding facilities available.

The interview processWe aim to take candidates through this process end to end within two to three weeks from our first conversation with you.We want to be mindful of your time and have developed a two-stage process so we can make a decision without needing you to meet lots of different people.Application reviewOur Talent team shortlists applications based on criteria set by our Senior UX Researcher. Once she’s checked out your profile and portfolio, if she feels you’d be a strong candidate, you’ll be invited to an interview.Technical interview1 hourYou’ll meet with our Senior UX Researcher Justina and someone else from our Product and Engineering team. This is an informal chat where we’ll talk a bit about some of CDP’s challenges, and how we might work together to address them. We will share these topics in advance so there are no surprises.We love seeing real work, so if you have examples you can show us during the discussion, that will help us get a good sense of what your work looks like.We’ll make sure that we leave time for you to ask us any questions you have about CDP, the design team, day-to-day work etc. Nothing’s off limits so don’t be shy.TaskIt’s important to us that we get a sense of what it’s like to work with you. So we’d like you to spend 60-90 minutes with us working through a research challenge together.We’ll send you some context and information about what to expect at least 24 hours before, but no preparation is necessary.OfferIf we believe you’re a great fit for the role, we will discuss an offer with you and can answer any final questions to help you make the right decision for your career.
