Description: The US Strategic Decision Intelligence CV/IMM team directly guides senior brand leadership through key strategic decisions by developing and delivering industry leading analytical models that allow the prioritization and optimization of both the sales force and marketing budget.

Key Responsibilities and Major Duties
 

  • Acts as a senior thought leader around the application of the latest AI/ML econometric modeling techniques and has the business acumen to identify and apply those techniques to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the current processes as well as the development of new solutions for emerging commercial problems in order to drive optimal OPEX allocation across BMS’s marketing channels

  • Provides hands on support and directly collaborates with a multi-functional team to develop appropriate and strategically aligned analyses such as response models, resource allocation simulations, pro-forma investment analysis, etc.

  • Assists in goal setting to track the performance of leading indicator KPIs for non-personal channels in partnership with the Omni-channel strategy team

  • Communicates complex analytical findings, insights, and actionable recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear and compelling visualizations, reports and presentations

  • Provides a meticulous attention to detail with a questioning mindset to ensure the accuracy and reliability of analyses

  • Collaborates proactively with the Tools and Solutions team by identifying unmet needs of the organization, defining the required features and functionality of their proposed solution, and ensuring that the accuracy and user experience of the final output is properly aligned with business needs

  • Employs disruptive thinking to improve value to the business and our patients through deepened market understanding, streamlined business engagement and practically applied, advanced analytics in such a way that it drives the use of these tools further 

  • Partners with both the Brand and Omni-channel Strategy teams to proactively provide strategic guidance and analytical support with a focus on the impact to business

  • Collaborates with subject matter experts across the matrix to identify gaps in offerings and drives enhancements that increase business impact for our stakeholders

  • Ensures brand level resource allocation recommendations align with channel level activities, establishing a link between strategic choice and operational execution

  • Showcases a passion for continuous learning and improvement with a keen interest in exploring new and innovative ways to enhance the quality and impact of analyses

Qualifications/Degree/Certification/Licensure

  • BA/BS required (quantitative area of study preferred)

  • MBA/other graduate degree preferred

  • 5+ years of Analytical Experience

  • Hands-on experience in designing and deploying econometric models. This includes an in-depth understanding of applied analytics and advanced statistical models (regression modeling, ANCOVA, etc.)

  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, Git, MS Office Suite, and experience operating in a cloud based environment

  • Familiarity with visualization and data science Python libraries (e.g., Streamlit, Dash, scikit-Learn, Tensorflow or Pytorch)

  • Superior knowledge of secondary healthcare data

  • Strong understanding of digital/non-personal tactics like website, paid search, social media, third party etc.

  • Familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics) is a plus

  • Hands-on experience with designing and deploying machine learning models is a plus

  • Proven experience in managing complex data driven projects with multi-functional team members

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. Proven ability to connect complex analyses to business strategy for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
